I am writing in response to your advertisement for a tour guide which I saw in the New Headway Book. I am very interested in this position and I believe that my education is appropriate for the position.
I am 30 years old and come from the Czech republic. I studied tourism at the Charles University in Prague. I was learning English for 6 years at a language school and I passed the FCE at the end of the course. I can speak English, German and Russian fluently.
I consider myself the ideal candidate for the job because I have all the relevant experience. I have always been interested in working with other people. I would also say that I have a good knowledge of history. In my present job as a travel director I am responsible for all aspects of the program, including airport arrivals, accommodation etc. Before this, I spent two years in Russia working as a paperboy. It was a great opportunity for me to improve my speaking. I am an enthusiastic, hard-working, friendly person and I love travelling.
